We made a video project to engage with the community of Enniscorthy, we spent a day in the town carrying out vox pop interviews and then visited some of the interviewee’s favourite spots around the town to include these areas in the video too.
We wanted to discover the communities’ thoughts, opinions, and hopes for their town, while highlighting social concerns, such as dog fouling. At the end of the informal interview, we asked people to write a letter to their future selves with an idea or hope for the town and its communities to make Enniscorthy better. These letters will be posted to them in a year’s time so they can see if a change has happened or if they will now be the change they’d like to see for their town and community.
Along the way, we discovered Enniscorthy is a lovely town, full of decent people who are proud of their town and genuinely care for it.
